Tired Wednesday

I feel swamped. Bushwhacked, drained, exhausted. Whatever you want to call it. Simply and utterly buried, to the hips, slogging my way through, kind of swamped.

The last few weeks have been fun, but exhausting. Running around, attending events, working on projects, meeting up with old friends and generally just trying to keep my head above water.

Instead, I feel like I’m treading water, with my nose barely afloat, rushing to the next event, and not having enough time for anyone, let alone myself. So for those that feel neglected or forgotten, I’m sorry. It’s not you, it’s me.

. So much to do, so little time, a good friend called me the other day to apologize for missing an event I had organized. It had simply slipped her mind in the face of so much going on. No worries, I told her, I could completely relate. Not sure why it’s so busy lately, but it sure wasn’t like this a month ago. I know I’ve been trying to do more, after a period of not seeing anyone at all, but this is getting to be too much like Tokyo. Only I’m older now and drain more easily.

At least taxes are done.

This week: Class, Elena’s Fabulous Cake Party, Dinner @ O & E, Pizza @ Blue Star, Adam’s Crafting Extravaganza, and a Book Making Workshop in the city~
